Good protection, coverage, value

Adult skateboarder using the set in small to medium concrete vert park.

Intentionally bought this set for a less bulky fit alternative to Protec Pro or the other leading "pro" brand.

In my opinion this street package offers adequate knee protection for 2-5 knee slides per session for someone staying at lip or coping level and not doing 10+ ft bowls or airs of any kind. I'm using on features up to 8ft or so -- assuming you know how to knee slide.

The biggest risk with this set is the pad sliding down during a fall or knee slide and experiencing scrape or impact exposure.

My only real negative comments are there seems to be some changes vs the earlier version of Protec pads I had -- not sure if those were earlier version of street or vert pads though for fair comparison. A little less padding than the earlier version particularly on the area above and below the plastic cup. The earlier version had a little more coverage above or below the straps and helpful belt loops which kept the elastic straps over the back fabric and not your skin. I also prefer closed back for knee pads that earlier version had.

These pads are very comfortable and protective!
